How It All Began
I started Hop & Vine in 2007, but the idea came much earlier. I worked in restaurants while attending San Jose State and realized how much I loved connecting with people. I thought I might become a teacher—but I found my place in hospitality. This place grew from a wine shop into a full neighborhood spot for food, wine, and community.

I’ve been part of San Jose’s food scene since the ’90s, and I started Hop & Vine to give folks a place to connect.
